Our Story
Koolboks was founded with a simple belief: access to cold should not depend on access to stable power. Across many African markets, unreliable electricity makes it difficult for families to preserve food and for small businesses to store products such as fish, meat, beverages, dairy and medicine.
We built a freezer that runs entirely on solar energy, holds its cold for days during outages, and is affordable through our Pay-As-You-Go financing — so any household or entrepreneur can own one.
